Sabine Janzen is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and software engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher and deputy head of the "Smart Service Engineering" department at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since June 2016, Sabine leads various research and industry projects, manages teams, and focuses on topics such as AI architectures, data analytics, and decision support systems across domains including healthcare and production. Previous roles include researcher at Saarland University, co-founder of Karou GmbH, and research assistant at the Research Center for Intelligent Media, showcasing a strong background in project management, software development, and academic teaching. Sabine holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universität des Saarlandes, along with a Master's and Diploma in Computer Science in Media from Hochschule Furtwangen.
