Alicia Makaye

Alicia Makaye, PhD, serves as the Chief Outreach Officer, President, and CEO at GXA, a managed IT company established in 2004. With extensive experience in business strategy and operations, Alicia has been instrumental in the company’s growth since its incorporation in 2008. In addition to work at GXA, Alicia contributes to the DFW Alliance of Technology and Women as an Advisory Council member, focusing on promoting women's leadership in technology. Board memberships include the Richardson Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board and the Dallas County Community College District Foundation, alongside advisory roles at The University of Texas at Dallas MPA Advisory Board and Diversity Advisory Council. Previous experience includes teaching Career Investigations at Dallas ISD and serving as a Public Health Technician/Trainer in the United States Air Force. Alicia holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Dallas, alongside multiple degrees from Troy University and Northwest Florida State College.
