BIG PICTURE:

We are searching for a dedicated and team oriented Production Coordinator to join our ever growing team. This individual will oversee production crews and resolve any challenges and/or issues that come up during the course of production with clear proposed solutions with budget parameters. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, extensive hands-on production management experience providing mentorship to various production staff, excellent budgeting and time management with complex schedules, and in-depth knowledge of various film industry equipment and set protocols. The Production Coordinator will be skilled at developing thoughtful and meaningful initiatives to elevate crew morale and to grow the team dynamic. Ultimately, this individual will be skilled at establishing a culture and environment where the crew is always empowered to do their best work, on budget and on time,  while handling many moving pieces. 

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:

• Creating thorough processes that implement industry best practices to ensure the production crews are always supported and achieve creative goals on budget and on time

• Managing equipment such as lights, cameras, lenses, accessories, etc. to make sure each crew is supplied with what they need

• Running production meetings to ensure clear communication, acknowledging team accomplishments, and discussing challenges or changes to be made

• Ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly department workloads and budget are handled timely, accurately and efficiently based on priority

• Collaborating with the pre-production, production, and post-production teams to ensure all are on schedule/budget and all requirements are met on each production

• Working closely with senior production leaders production  and Studio Teachers to ensure compliance with State of California health, safety, and ethics mandates within the entertainment industry; including registering for all necessary film permits

• Providing feedback and solutions on production risks that can impact safety, budget, and deadlines

• Hiring and recruiting entrepreneurial minded production talent to re-invent production for a digital environment

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• 3+ years of hands on experience working as a Production Coordinator within the film/tv industry
• Thorough understanding of Pre-Production and Production workflows
• In depth knowledge of lighting, sound, camera, DIT, and electric departments
• Experience managing budgets in various low budget environments
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously supporting several projects in various phases of production from pre-production to post production
• Well versed in health and safety regulations, insurance, production contracts, and labor laws
• Outstanding leadership and team building experience
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – to deliver accurate information in a expedited, courteous, concise and professional manner
• Willing to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) and/or overtime to meet deadlines

The Production Senior Coordinator will report directly to the Sr Manager of Production Operations

All the action takes place at our BRAND NEW studio in Burbank, CA!

This is a full-time role that will require some schedule flexibility that will be discussed during the interview
