Matthew Russell

Matthew Russell has extensive experience in both the mortgage and military sectors. Currently serving as the AVP and National Closing Manager at DHI Mortgage since January 2016, Matthew previously held the position of Regional Closing Manager for the Western Region and Branch Operations Manager, overseeing multiple state processing centers with significant personnel management responsibilities. Matthew's background includes participation in a Leadership Development Program at DHI Mortgage, where cross-training in Processing, Underwriting, and Closing occurred. Prior to this, Matthew served in the US Navy for over a decade, fulfilling various roles including Military Officer and Naval Flight Officer, with notable responsibilities as an Intermediate Flight Instructor and Operations/Schedules Officer. Educational qualifications include a BS in Aeronautical Management Technology from Arizona State University and completion of a course at the US Navy School of Aviation Safety.
