Jordan Carter is a curator with extensive experience in the art world, currently serving as Curator at Dia Art Foundation since December 2021. Previously, Jordan held roles as Associate Curator and Assistant Curator focused on Modern and Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago, contributing significantly from April 2017 to December 2021. Prior to this, a curatorial fellowship at Walker Art Center involved comprehensive exhibition and catalogue production duties. Jordan's freelance contributions include writing about contemporary art and interviewing significant artists, as well as guest curatorial and lecturing roles at various institutions. Jordan holds a Master of Arts in Art History from The Courtauld Institute of Art and a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Culture and Media from Brown University.

Dia Art Foundation
Established in 1974, Dia Art Foundation is internationally recognized as one of the world's most influential contemporary art institutions. The name "Dia," taken from the Greek word meaning "through," was chosen to suggest the institution's role in enabling visionary artistic projects that might not otherwise be realized because of their scale or ambition. Dia's founders, Heiner Friedrich and Philippa de Menil, wished to extend the boundaries of the traditional museum to respond to the needs of the generation of artists whose work matured and became prominent during the 1960s and 1970s. Ever since, Dia's mission has been to commission, support, and present site-specific long-term installations and single-artists exhibitions to the public.
