Linda Karlsson is an accomplished consultant and leader with extensive experience in strategic direction, communications, and community engagement. As the Owner and Founder of Folket Consultancy, Linda brings together a diverse group of consultants to address various challenges collaboratively. Linda serves as a Director intern at TasPorts, gaining valuable board experience. Additionally, Linda co-founded The Hive Collective, empowering women in Tasmania, and has managed external relations for Diabetes Australia’s KeepSight program. With positions on the boards of the Youth Network of Tasmania and Womensport & Recreation Tasmania Inc., Linda advocates for youth issues and gender equality in sports and beyond. Previous roles include communications lead at the Beacon Foundation and social impact lead at WORK180, showcasing a commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Equality and Diversity Management and a Master's degree in Communication for Development, along with a GAICD certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Through leadership, prevention, management and research, Diabetes Australia is committed to reducing the impact of diabetes. We work in partnership with diabetes health professionals and educators, researchers and healthcare providers to minimise the impact of diabetes on the Australian community. Diabetes Australia is a respected and valued source of information, advice and views utilised by government and the community. Our credibility and independence as a national voice allows us to translate knowledge and evidence into advocacy and programs for diabetes.
