Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition
Jacob Jansen possesses a strong background in advocacy, communications, and public policy, actively contributing to various organizations from 2016 to the present. Currently serving as the Communications and Policy Lead for the Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition, Jacob has developed advocacy platforms and organized webinars for patient advocates. As a Policy Advisor at Babbage, Jacob has effectively represented clients in the Kentucky State Legislature. Previous roles include a Research Intern at the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, where Jacob focused on literature review and research briefs, and a Parliamentary Office Intern for Andrew Stephenson, where responsibilities included drafting press releases and addressing constituent concerns. Educational achievements include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kentucky and a dual Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Xavier University.

The Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition (DPAC) is an alliance of people with diabetes, caregivers, patient advocates, health professionals, disease organizations and companies working collaboratively to promote and support public policy initiatives to improve the health of people with diabetes. DPAC seeks to ensure the safety and quality of medications, devices, and services; and access to care for all 37 million Americans with diabetes.
