Mathew Norman

Mathew Norman currently serves as the Deputy Director for Diabetes UK Cymru and as the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, where responsibilities include leading the Wales team and improving diabetes care and prevention. Mathew also holds a position as an Independent Member of the University Council at Aberystwyth University, serving on the Investments Committee. As a Welsh Labour Town Councillor for Aberystwyth Rheidol, Mathew engages in local governance. Mathew chairs Public Affairs Cymru, a volunteer-run organization for public affairs professionals in Wales. Previous experience includes roles as an Account Manager at Deryn Consulting Ltd, Policy & Public Affairs Officer at Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation partnership, and Legal Adviser at Slater and Gordon Lawyers. Mathew possesses degrees in Law from Aberystwyth University and the University of Adelaide, along with a master's degree in Politics and Public Policy from Cardiff University.
