Amy Woron

Amy Woron, PhD, is a highly accomplished professional in the fields of microbiology and molecular biology, currently serving as the Director of Microbiology and Molecular at Diagnostic Laboratory Services since July 2019. Prior to this role, Woron held positions as the Molecular Manager at the same organization and as Antimicrobial Resistance Laboratory Coordinator for the State of Hawaii from April 2017 to June 2019. With extensive experience that includes serving as a Molecular Biologist for the State of Tennessee and various academic roles as an Adjunct Instructor at Louisiana State University and Adjunct Professor at Tennessee State University, Woron has a strong educational background with multiple degrees in public health, biology, and clinical laboratory science from institutions such as East Tennessee State University and the University at Albany, SUNY.
