Christopher Furman

Christopher Furman is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and a strong research background. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist II at IFF since June 2022, Christopher has progressed through various roles including Senior Scientist I and Scientist II. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health's Intramural Research Program from December 2020 to May 2022, and an Associate Investigator at DuPont. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Cornell University and two degrees from The Catholic University of America: a Master of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Christopher has expertise in experimental techniques such as PCR, DNA and protein isolation, and has contributed to research on xenobiotic resistance in yeast. Additionally, Christopher has experience in event coordination and teaching, having managed university center operations and educated students in biology topics.
