Alyssa Snyder is Executive Director of Diakon Adoption & Foster Care. She oversees operations of all permanency-related (foster care, foster-to-adopt and adoption) services at offices in Berks, Bucks, Cumberland and York counties of Pennsylvania.
Joining Diakon in early 2021, Ms. Snyder brings extensive leadership experience in operations, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program development and growth to her role. She has led efforts to transition permanency services such as adoption and foster care to a trauma-informed model. In addition, she has been responsible for supporting children, youths and families by growing permanency and behavioral health services in multiple agencies.
Previously, she served as director of Children’s Behavioral Health Services for Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; regional director at Tabor Children’s Services in southeastern Pennsylvania; and, most recently, as administrator of Children and Family Programs at Christ’s Home in Warminster, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Snyder has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Lock Haven University and an MBA from Holy Family University.
