Kumudh Pathirana

Kumudh Pathirana has comprehensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and incident management. Kumudh is currently employed as a Lead Cybersecurity Incident Handler at Dialog Axiata PLC, where they oversee incident response and prepares incident reports and Root Cause Analysis reports. Prior to this, Kumudh worked as an Incident Manager at Wiley, where they played a key role in establishing the Operations Centre and implementing processes for incident management. Kumudh also worked as a Lead Security Analyst at Quantei, where they drafted and implemented security incident response plans and change management protocols. Additionally, Kumudh gained experience as a Security Analyst and Associate Security Analyst at Pearson, where they triaged security incidents accurately. Kumudh started their career at Exetel, where they worked as a Senior Network Engineer and played the role of a cluster leader, managing a team and troubleshooting network-related issues. Kumudh Pathirana completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Network Technology at Northumbria University in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they obtained an International Advanced Diploma in Networks & Cyber Security at Informatics Academy, Singapore from 2008-2010. Kumudh'shigh school education includes Physical Sciences at S. Thomas' College, Mt. Lavinia from 2005-2007 and at S. Thomas' Preparatory School, Colpetty, Sri Lanka from 1994-2004. Kumudh also holds various additional certifications in areas such as AWS Security and Compliance, Business Analytics, Change Management, Critical Thinking, and Data Analytics.
