David Perl

David Perl is a Software Engineer at Diamond Light Source since October 2022, specializing in the development of data acquisition software for crystallographic beamlines. Prior to this role, David worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Synchrotron SOLEIL from October 2020 to September 2022, focusing on innovative crystallographic techniques for materials. David's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from The MacDiarmid Institute, completed in 2020, and a BSc in Computer Science and Biochemistry from Massey University, attained in 2015. David's doctoral research involved the synthesis and characterization of heterointerpenetrated metal-organic frameworks during a Ph.D. candidacy at Massey University from February 2016 to July 2020.
