Gwyndaf Evans has a strong background in the field of synchrotron science and crystallography. Gwyndaf has worked at various renowned institutions, including Diamond Light Source, where they have held multiple roles since 2004. As the Deputy Director for Life Science, they developed strategies and led research groups and software development teams. Gwyndaf has also served as the Principal Beamline Scientist and the Macromolecular Crystallography Village Coordinator at Diamond Light Source.
In addition to their work at Diamond Light Source, Gwyndaf Evans has held positions at several other organizations. Gwyndaf is currently the Head of Technology at Rosalind Franklin Institute. Gwyndaf has also served as a member of advisory committees at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), ALBA Synchrotron, EMBL, CCP4, Synchrotron SOLEIL, DESY, Paul Scherrer Institut, and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Gwyndaf Evans pursued their education in the field of Physics at the University of Warwick. Gwyndaf completed their Bachelor's degree in 1989 and went on to earn a PhD from the same institution, completing their studies in 1994.
