Lorraine Bobb has a diverse work experience in diagnostics and physics. Lorraine started their career at Diamond Light Source in 2010 as a Paid Intern. Lorraine then worked at Royal Holloway, University of London as a Physics department helper and later as a Paid Intern. Lorraine joined CERN in 2011 as a Doctoral student of Accelerator Physics, focusing on developing an incoherent Diffraction Radiation monitor for non-invasive beam size measurements. In 2014, they returned to Diamond Light Source as a Diagnostics Physicist and eventually became the Head of Diagnostics.
Lorraine Bobb obtained their MSci degree in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Lorraine later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics at the same institution, completing their studies in 2017.
