Philip Mousley

Data Analysis Scientist - Structures And Surfaces at DIAMOND LIGHT SOURCE LIMITED

Philip Mousley is an experienced data analysis scientist specializing in structures and surfaces at Diamond Light Source since November 2018. Prior to this role, Philip served as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Warwick from February 2018 to October 2018 and completed a PhD in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics at the same institution from September 2013 to September 2017, focusing on the surfaces of novel spin functional materials. Philip's research experience includes a JSPS summer research placement at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency in 2015, which involved in-situ surface x-ray diffraction studies, and an industrial placement at Dstl, where involvement in various classified military electronic safety projects provided valuable insights into production processes. Educationally, Philip holds an MSci in Natural Sciences with Physics and Chemistry from the University of Bath.
