Sin Yuen Chang is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Diamond Light Source since January 2016, focusing on the development of synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy techniques for applied research in the pharmaceutical and fuel additive industries, with funding from AstraZeneca and Infineum. Prior to this, Sin Yuen Chang completed a PhD at The University of Manchester from September 2012 to March 2016, investigating metal speciation and nucleation in complex functional liquid systems under the supervision of Professor Sven Schroeder. Earlier experience includes a student internship at Shell MDS in mid-2011, conducting greenhouse gas assessments, and a temporary teaching position at Kota Kinabalu High School in early 2008. Sin Yuen Chang holds an MEng (Hons) degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester, completed in 2012, and graduated from Kota Kinabalu High School in 2008 with an STPM qualification.
