Michael Polakow

Director Global Supply Chain, Logistics, And Repair at Diamond Offshore

Michael Polakow has extensive work experience in the field of supply chain and logistics. Michael has held various roles at Diamond Offshore, including Director of Global Supply Chain and Logistics and Senior Manager of Supplier Performance. In these positions, they have led the design and implementation of a new CMMS system, as well as the adoption of risk-based asset management strategies. Prior to their time at Diamond Offshore, they worked as a Marine Engineer at Rolls-Royce Naval Marine and General Electric, where they gained experience in project management, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance. Michael also holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Marine Engineer at the Marine Engineers Beneficiary Association.

Michael Polakow earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering Systems and Environmental from the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 1999 to 2003. Michael later pursued an MBA in Project Management from Capella University, completing it from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained certifications in First Engineer Unlimited HP, Motors from the United States Coast Guard and in Reliability Engineering from Clemson University.
