Amit Upadhyay

Amit Upadhyay has a diverse work experience spanning from 1996 to the present. Amit began their career as a Senior Advertising Executive at Indian Express, where they successfully led sales and marketing efforts for advertisement space. Amit then joined Star India as a Territory Manager, where they played a key role in developing markets for various pay channels and achieved record-breaking revenue targets. Following this, they worked at BBC Worldwide in various roles, including Head of Business Development and Distribution and Director of Business Development and Distribution for South Asia, where they successfully digitalized and encrypted the BBC WORLD channel. Amit also served as President at ITN, where they played a pivotal role in launching and establishing regional channels. Amit then joined Travel Channel International as a Consultant, responsible for successfully launching the channel in India and developing and implementing strategies.

In 2010, Amit joined Digicable Network India Pvt Ltd, initially as Vice President of News, Content, and Strategy, and later served as Senior Executive Vice President, President of Business Operations, and eventually took on the role of Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, Amit handled a revenue profile of Rs 750 Crores annually and was responsible for revenue generation, market share enhancement, and overseeing a team of 1500 people.

Most recently, Amit has founded The CSR Journal, where they serve as the Editor-in-Chief and Founder. In this role, they have editorial responsibility across all platforms, sets the ethical framework for the editorial team, and steers the editorial course over short, medium, and long terms.

From 1998 to 2000, Amit Upadhyay attended ICFAI Business School and pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Marketing and Finance.
