Luis Carlos Silva

Luis Carlos Silva is a seasoned professional in telecommunications with extensive experience in radio network design, engineering, and management. Currently serving as Global RAN Engineering Manager at Digicel Group since September 2018, Luis Carlos oversees the deployment of advanced mobile networks including 5G NR, LTE, VoLTE, UMTS, and GSM across 32 markets, supporting over 670,000 subscribers. Prior roles include Senior Radio Frequency Engineer at Digicel, Senior Network Engineer at ZTE Enterprise, and Senior Radio Frequency Engineer at Telefónica, where responsibilities ranged from problem-solving and network optimization to planning capacity augmentations based on traffic analysis. Luis Carlos holds an Engineer’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunications from Universidad Central de Venezuela and a diploma in Project Management from UCAB.
