Tarik Dixon - Gisp

Tarik Dixon has a diverse work experience in various industries such as telecommunications, real estate, and government. Tarik has held multiple roles within Digicel Group, including Head of GIS, Network Design & Operations, and Project Manager for the construction and rollout of a fibre optic network. Tarik has also worked as a GIS Engineer and Chief Innovator at Urbanalytics Limited. Tarik has been a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and has experience as a Realtor & Broker Trainee at CENTURY 21 Heave Ho Properties. In addition, Tarik has worked in the Office of the Prime Minister of Jamaica as a Senior Spatial Data Analyst and Senior GIS Trainer/Manager. Tarik has also held positions as a GIS Analyst at Haringey Council, an Associate at Century 21 Westminster, a GIS Administrator at The Jamaica National Group, and a Surveyor & Sales Administrative Assistant at the Housing Agency of Jamaica Limited. Tarik has a strong background in GIS, spatial data analysis, and project management.

Tarik Dixon holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Spatial Planning (Specialism - Sustainable Urban Development) from UCL, which they completed in 2014. In 2011, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Geographical Information Systems from Lund University. Prior to that, Tarik completed their Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Technology, Jamaica in 2007. In terms of additional certifications, Tarik obtained the GIS Professional (GISP) certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) in 2015. Tarik also holds various other certifications, such as the Fiber Optics Technician - Outside Plant certification from ETA International in 2017 and the International Realtor certification from the National Association of REALTORS® in 2010.
