Jaime Haletky has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technical roles. Jaime is currently working as a Principal Engineer at DigiCert, Inc. since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Engineer at Mocana Corporation from September 2018 to December 2021.
In 2015, Haletky joined Arxan Technologies as a Software Engineer, specializing in white box cryptography. Jaime worked as a tech lead and chief designer for white box form implementations of asymmetric ciphers and algorithms such as ECC, RSA, and FFC. Jaime also had experience with AES, DES, SHA algorithms, and secure data transport algorithms. Jaime held this role until February 2018.
Before Arxan Technologies, Haletky worked as a Programmer/Analyst at Object Edge from June 2012 to March 2015, where they contributed to the development of the ecommerce site www.netshoes.com.
In addition, Haletky served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Massasoit Community College from September 2010 to May 2011, teaching various courses.
During their time at UC Berkeley from 2000 to 2008, Haletky had two roles. Firstly, they were a Graduate Student Instructor and taught courses such as Calculus, Intro to Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and more. Jaime was responsible for holding problem solving sections, expanding on difficult topics, grading, and conducting office hours. Secondly, they worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant, focusing on research in mathematics, including the Neron-Severi group of Fermat and elliptic curves, p-adic modular forms, and eigencurve.
Haletky began their career as a Cryptologic Mathematician at the National Security Agency, where they conducted classified research in algebraic number theory, algebraic geometry, and cryptography as part of the Director's Summer Program. Jaime was recognized for their exceptional abilities and was selected to spend a summer at England's equivalent program at General Communication Headquarters in Cheltenham.
Before their professional career, Haletky gained research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they worked on projects related to the zeros of Bessel functions and inverse problems in shallow water seabed acoustics in collaboration with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
Overall, Haletky's work experience demonstrates their expertise in engineering, cryptography, mathematics, teaching, and research across various industries and academic institutions.
Jaime Haletky pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2000 to 2008 as a PhD candidate in Mathematics.
