John Stach has extensive work experience in research and development. John worked at Digimarc as an R&D Senior Director from January 2019 to present, and prior to that, they held the position of R&D Director from January 2009 to December 2018. From December 2000 to December 2008, John was a Research and Development Manager at Digimarc.
In addition to their roles at Digimarc, John also worked as a Consultant at ShotSpotter, Inc. from 2005 to 2008. Before joining ShotSpotter, they were a Researcher at ERIM International from 1993 to 2001. John also worked as a Researcher at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) from 1993 to 2001, and at the Stanford Research Institute from 1983 to 1993.
John Stach attended Stanford University from 1983 to 1987, where they studied Signal & Image Processing and Control Theory. John did not obtain a degree from Stanford University. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1979, they attended the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, where they earned an MSEE degree in Antennas, Control, and Pattern Recognition. Additionally, they attended Michigan Technological University from 1974 to 1978, where they earned a BSEE degree in Electromagnetics, Physics, and Computers. In terms of certifications, they obtained a certification in Delivering Employee Feedback from LinkedIn in 2021.
