Nelson Perez

Nelson Perez has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nelson started their career as a Support Services Associate at Virtua Health, where they handled the distribution of medical supplies and provided customer support. After that, they worked at Stewart, A Xerox Company as an IT Helpdesk Analyst, providing technical support for global IT infrastructure.

Perez then moved on to Virtua Health again, where they worked as an IS Security Administrator. In this role, they performed security-related activities such as provisioning, networking, and troubleshooting for IS systems and applications. Nelson also participated in security audits to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of Virtua's information.

In 2016, Perez joined DXC Technology as a Cyber Threat Analyst. Nelson'sresponsibilities included monitoring and responding to security incidents, performing real-time monitoring and analysis of security events, and creating tickets for client requests.

Perez then joined Comcast in 2019 as a Security Engineer. In this role, they worked on various security-related tasks, including penetration testing, vulnerability management, and being a technical liaison for internal and external audits.

Currently, they are working at Digital.ai as a Security and Risk Management professional. In this role, they have hands-on experience with penetration testing and vulnerability management for cloud-based software. Nelson is also responsible for security compliance initiatives such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, and PCI.

Throughout their career, Perez has gained valuable experience in security and risk management, technical support, and cybersecurity analysis.

Nelson Perez began their education journey in 2009 at Camden County College, where they pursued a degree in computer science in the field of information technology. Nelson successfully completed their studies in 2013. Continuing their educational pursuits, from 2013 to 2015, Nelson attended ITT Technical Institute- Marlton NJ, where they earned an associate's degree in Information Technology and Computer Networking. Finally, from 2016 to 2018, they attended ITT Technical Institute, where they earned a bachelor's degree in Information Systems Security.
