Neal Kumar, CFA has a diverse and impressive work experience. Neal started their career as a 1st Year Investment Banking Associate at Lazard, where they worked on M&A transactions in the software and semiconductor industries.

Neal then co-founded Cognitir, a successful edtech company that helps professionals and students learn tech skills. Neal served as the CEO until 2021, during which time the company grew globally and became profitable.

In 2019, Neal joined Cadence Education as a Senior Director of Corporate Development, where they played a key role in sourcing and executing preschool acquisitions that led to significant investment returns for Morgan Stanley Private Equity.

From 2021 to 2022, Neal worked at Carvana as the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships. Neal led the Customer Acquisition Strategic Partnerships team, establishing cost-efficient sales channels through partnerships.

Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business between 2003 and 2007. Additionally, in 2003, Neal took a Rock Climbing Course in the Wind River Range, Wyoming through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Neal completed their high school education at Ridge High School from 1999 to 2003.

Neal has also obtained several certifications over the years. Neal became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) by passing Level I in June 2012, Level II in June 2013, and Level III in June 2014, awarded by the CFA Institute. In 2021, they acquired the Certified Main Street Business Broker (CMSBB) certification from Sunbelt Business Brokers and the Real Estate Broker/Sales Agent license from the Arizona Department of Real Estate. In 2018, Neal passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Examination administered by FINRA, and in 2017, they obtained the Series 79 certification from FINRA. Furthermore, in 2009, they received a Missouri Provisional Teaching Certificate in Secondary Mathematics from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
