Henriikka Hannula

Henriikka Hannula serves as the Chief Specialist and Data Protection Officer at Digi- ja väestötietovirasto (Finnish Digital Agency) since June 2020, following a brief tenure as a Senior Specialist and temporary Data Protection Officer focused on digitalization in Finnish society. Prior experience includes roles as a lawyer at Lecklé Oy, Tilastokeskus (Statistics Finland), and Agendium Oy, where Henriikka specialized in data protection and ICT law, contributing to public sector information management and GDPR compliance. Additional positions include Special Advisor and Legal Advisor for the Ministry of Education and Culture and MPASSid, respectively, offering expertise in education-related legislation and national digital identification services. Henriikka's foundational experience includes project coordination for COSS and research assistance at Åbo Akademi, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Turku.
