Mika Honkanen

Mika Honkanen is a Chief Specialist at the Finnish Digital Agency, leading the development of the national open data portal. Honkanen also serves as an Expert Group Member for the European Commission's Public Sector Information Group, an Observer for ICANN's Work Stream 2 on accountability and transparency, and a business coach and judge for open data initiatives at Ultrahack. Additionally, Honkanen is involved as an Ecosystem Builder with Startup Finland and holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Board for TIEKE Tietoyhteiskunnan kehittämiskeskus ry. Previous experience includes roles at the Population Register Centre, well-being hackathon co-founder, and Chairman of Open Knowledge Finland. Educational credentials include an M.Sc. in Business Knowledge Management from Tampere University of Technology and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, among others.
