Matthew Sarkar

Matthew Sarkar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Matthew has held various roles in different companies. Their most recent role was as the Director of Technology Partnerships at Digital Catapult starting in August 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Science Group as the VP of Medical from October 2020 to August 2023. Matthew also served as the Director of Corporate Development at enmovi from January to August 2020. Before that, they were the Head of Health Partnerships at McLaren Applied Technologies from August 2016 to January 2020. Matthew has also held positions such as Director of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Cambridge Temperature Concepts Limited, Head of Technology Licensing at Vectura, Intellectual Property Portfolio Manager at Vectura, and Program Manager at Vectura. Matthew started their career as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Matthew also has experience as the Founder and Senior Designer at Vivid Medical Ltd.

Matthew Sarkar holds a B.Eng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, which they completed from 1990 to 1993. Matthew then pursued a M.Des (RCA) degree in Industrial Design from the Royal College of Art from 1993 to 1995. In 2009, they obtained a PGCert (IP Law) in Intellectual Property from Brunel University London. Lastly, in 2013, they obtained a General Management Certificate from Cambridge Judge Business School, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
