Mark Timko is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in digital design and project leadership. Currently serving as Principal Staff Engineer at Digital Design Corporation since January 2001, Mark specializes in FPGA-based systems with a focus on video and camera interfaces, image processing, and video codecs. Prior to this role, Mark worked at Motorola as Principal Staff Engineer, leading the development of digital camera ASICs and managing a codec design team. Experience at Intel Corporation involved contributions to the micro-architecture of the Pentium Pro, while early roles at IBM included co-op positions focused on QA testing and software development for ATM machines. Mark's career began with summer internships at Stone Container, where mechanical engineering skills were honed. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
