Cate Elliott

CPO at Digital Dimension

With 25 years of experience in animation, Cate Elliott is a veteran producer who has overseen, CG, 2D Digital and hand-drawn projects as well as VFX, from bid stage through to delivery, including relationship management with broadcasters, financiers and bond companies. Responsible for all budgeting, production scheduling and client management on projects, Cate successfully handles the running of shows, with a keen interest in increasing quality and pipeline efficiency.

Prior to returning to Canada, Cate collaborated with Jellyfish Pictures as Senior Producer on various animation projects, namely Bitz & Bob, How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming and other animation shorts, where she managed in-house crews of up to 65 people and worked closely with production team members to ensure high organisation standards. She was recipient of the JellyAward for best Team for a steady happy stress-free production.

Cate learned production management at CineGroup in Montreal and moved to the UK to oversee the production of the first animated series of Mr Bean at Tiger Aspect Productions. Then, as Head of Production for Children’s and Animation, she oversaw the development and production of series such as BAFTA award-winning Charlie and Lola. After 20 years in the UK, Cate returned to Canada to lead a 2D Harmony project at Mercury Filmworks before joining Saturday (or Meduzarts) in July 2021.
