Osama Manzar is the founder and director of the Digital Empowerment Foundation, and a media entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Osama started their career in 1999 as a co-founder and CEO of 4Cplus, a "knowledge technology" company based in New Delhi. 4Cplus grew to 80 employees within two years, and has since established itself as a leading IT solution provider for the media, manufacturing, and food processing industries.

In 2012, Manzar joined the Screening Committee for Community Radio at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting for the Government of India. In this role, they helped to select and support community radio stations across India. Osama left the committee in 2017 to focus on their work at the Digital Empowerment Foundation.

Osama Manzar is an Indian social entrepreneur, educationist, and author. Osama is the founder and director of the Digital Empowerment Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that works to bridge the digital divide in India. Osama is also a member of the working group on Internet and Mobile Association of India.

Osama has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Aligarh Muslim University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the same university. Osama also has a Chevening Scholarship from the Advance IT Program at Manchester Business School.
