Andrew Johnston

Andrew Johnston is an experienced professional in trust frameworks and digital identity, currently serving as Treasurer and Director At Large for Kantara since February 2021. In addition, Andrew holds the position of AVP, Standards Development and Industry Relations at Interac Corp. since May 2020, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Technical Committee for Trust and Digital Identity at the CIO Strategy Council. As Chair of the Trust Framework Expert Committee for the Digital ID and Authentication Council of Canada, Andrew contributes significantly to this important field. Andrew is also the Founder and President of Strangeloop Services Corporation, established in 1995, and has an extensive background with previous roles at TELUS and multiple consulting ventures. Andrew's education includes studies at the University of Waterloo from 1989 to 1991.
