John Sweeting

Chief Customer Officer at Digital Health Summit

John Sweeting has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. John started their career in 1972 as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army. After leaving the military, they joined MCI as a Manager in IP Provisioning. Later, they worked at Cable & Wireless as a Director of Service Delivery.

In 2000, John became a Member of the Advisory Council at ARIN, where they served until 2005. John then joined Teleglobe America as a Director, overseeing IP Network Services and Customer Relations. John also held the role of Director of IP Network Services, where they built and managed a skilled provisioning team.

At VSNL International, John served as Director of IP Strategic Planning and NGN Project, leading a team in conducting due diligence and compiling data for the RFP process. John then moved to Tata Communications LTD as a Senior Director, responsible for global Tier 1 IP network planning, implementation, and support.

In 2009, John returned to ARIN as the Chair of the Advisory Council, contributing to IP allocation policy and related matters. John also took on roles at Time Warner Cable, where they served as a Director of Network Engineering and later as a Senior Director of Core & Data Center Architecture & Engineering.

Currently, John is the Chief Customer Officer at ARIN, overseeing all aspects of customer excellence and maintaining client relationships with internet resource stakeholders.

John Sweeting attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 1985 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and Services.
