Nanjira Sambuli serves as a Nonresident Scholar and Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace since July 2021, and has extensive experience in research, policy, and advocacy as an independent consultant since February 2020. Nanjira is a Ford Global Fellow in the inaugural cohort at the Ford Foundation, and a Board Member for the Digital Impact Alliance at the United Nations Foundation and Development Gateway. Previously, Nanjira was a Board Member for The New Humanitarian and Co-Chair of Transform Health, which focuses on achieving Universal Health Care in the digital age. Nanjira also contributed as a Commissioner for the Lancet & Financial Times Commission on governing health futures 2030, and held senior advocacy roles at the World Wide Web Foundation and served on the Digital Advisory Panel for the Department for International Development. Nanjira holds a Master in Contemporary Diplomacy from the University of Malta and a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi.
