Chris Sim

Chris Sim has extensive work experience in the software development industry. Chris is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Digital Insight Games (DIG), a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, Chris worked at Kabam, where they held multiple roles. From August 2020 to February 2022, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development of the game "Marvel Contest of Champions". In this role, Chris was responsible for architecting and implementing a real-time PvP drafting system, coordinating with other engineers to improve the backend system, and designing and deploying game features. Before that, from June 2018 to August 2020, they worked as a Software Engineer on the same game, using Node.js, MongoDB, and Redis to build features for the server-side of the mobile game.

Before their time at Kabam, Chris worked at airG Inc. as an Intermediate Software Developer from June 2015 to June 2018. In this position, they played a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining a subscription management service using Python Flask framework, MongoDB, Redis, RQ, and Nginx. Chris also implemented billing flows with telecommunication carriers and developed various web tools and scripts to automate the development process. Prior to this role, from November 2012 to May 2015, Chris worked as a Software Developer at airG Inc., where they were involved in integrating billing with telecom carriers, managing virtual credit, and developing applications using Python, Flask framework, and front-end technologies.

Chris began their career as an IT Technician at Atimi Software in May 2011 and held the position until December 2011. Additionally, they have experience as a Photographer at Chris Sim Photography from April 2005 to August 2010.

Chris Sim earned a diploma in Computer Systems Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a diploma in Professional Photo Imaging at Langara College from 2007 to 2009.
