Qian Zhang

Qian Zhang is a Senior Analyst at Digital Research Alliance of Canada | Alliance de recherche numérique du Canada. Previously, Qian was a CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Qian has a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography and a Master's Degree in Engineering Science. Qian's research has focused on applying high-performance computing to ocean circulation simulation, coastal hydrodynamics, and hurricane prediction. Additionally, Qian has experience in software curation and model profiling at institutions such as NCAR and the School for Marine Science and Technology.
