Tyler Rice has a diverse work experience. Tyler'smost recent role is as the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Digital Wellness Institute, where they focus on promoting digital wellness in the workplace through positive psychology and personal behavior shifts. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Development for the FoolProof Foundation, a global non-profit that provides free financial literacy curricula. Tyler has also worked as an Optum Advisory Services Consultant and Senior Research Analyst at UnitedHealth Group, managing projects and conducting market research. Earlier in their career, they held roles as an Alumni Engagement Researcher at St. Olaf College, a Development Intern at Norway House MN, and a Summer Camp Counselor at the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities.
Tyler Rice attended Hill-Murray from 2009 to 2012 and obtained a diploma. From 2013 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science at St. Olaf College. In 2016, they participated in the Danish Institute for Study Abroad's program in Copenhagen, focusing on Humanitarian Law and Armed Conflict. Tyler then pursued further education at NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service from 2020 to 2023, earning a Master of Public Administration in Public and Non-Profit Management (MPA, PNP) with a specialization in Social Impact, Innovation, and Investments.
In addition to their formal education, Tyler has obtained various certifications. In 2019, they completed the Stanford Idea to Market Entrepreneurship Program at Stanford University School of Engineering. Later, in 2022, they earned the certification of Certified Digital Wellness Educator from the Digital Wellness Institute. Finally, in 2023, Tyler further enhanced their digital wellness expertise by earning the Certified Digitally Well Worker certification from the same institution.
