Sean A. Gallagher

Sean A. Gallagher has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and academia. Sean A. has worked as the Director of Sustainable Design at Diller Scofidio + Renfro since May 2011. Prior to that, they served as an Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology starting in 2010 and 2016 respectively. Sean has also held a role as Senior Associate at Smith-Miller+Hawkinson Architects from 2005 to 2011. Sean A. has taught at Columbia University as a Visiting Assistant Professor from 2007 to 2010, and at UNC Charlotte as a Visiting Assistant Critic in 2003. Before their academic career, they gained professional experience as a Project Architect at Jenkins Peer Architects from 2000 to 2003 and as a Designer at Little Diversified Architectural Consulting in 2000. Sean started their career in 1997 as a Historic Preservation Assistant at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Preservation.

Sean A. Gallagher completed their Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2000 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Sean A. then pursued a Master of Advance Architectural Design degree at Columbia University from 2004 to 2005.
