Vanessa Krahn began their career as a Materials Technician at AMEC Environment & Infrastructure UK Limited in 2011. Vanessa then worked as an Environmental Technician at the same company in 2012, where they conducted various site assessments and removals. In 2013, they became an Environmental Engineer in Training at AMEC, gaining experience in environmental site assessments and site remediation. Vanessa joined Dillon Consulting Limited in 2017 as an Environmental Engineer. In 2022, they started working as a Sessional Instructor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba. Additionally, Vanessa worked as an Executive Assistant at MOPIA from 2008 to 2011 and as an NSERC Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Manitoba in 2010, where they focused on studying plant root density and water uptake in potato plants.
Vanessa Krahn completed their Master of Science in Biological/Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba in 2017. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) with a Biosystems Environmental Option from the same university, starting in 2008 and graduating in 2012.
