The Management Accountant role
This role as Management Accountant will report to and support the Senior Finance Manager. A successful candidate will also be required to support the wider finance team and have regular contact with the Finance Director. As the Management Accountant, you will have ownership of the Accounts Payable functions and reporting to ensure accurate management accounts are produced.
Key responsibilities for the Management Accountant
Cost analysis and control:
Management of accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciling bank statements and processing payments.
Maintaining accurate and up to date financial records using Xero and Netsuite.
Monitoring and review of company card expenses to ensure they have been directed to the correct managers for approvals and that they meet Dimension’s expenses policies.
Liaising with Producers and Project Managers to ensure costs are correctly recorded and to resolve any discrepancies related to financial records.
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Prepare qualitative and quantitative analysis on monthly variances to budgets.
Month-end and year-end close:
Preparation of payroll information and liaise with outsourced payroll provider.
Support with the month-end and year-end process.
Manage the statutory filing process with HMRC and Companies House (with external and internal stakeholders).
Liaise with auditors and support the Senior Finance Manager in delivering timely accurate data to auditors and other advisors.
Other
Support with the implementation of Netsuite.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Any other ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
Essential requirements for the Management Accountant
Desirable requirements for the Management Accountant
Experience of reporting under US GAAP and NZ IFRS.
Experience in the implementation of ERP systems.
Worked within the /VFX/Film/TV industry.
