Dan Cogan

Dan Cogan has extensive work experience in various roles. Dan is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Dimensional Energy since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Engineer at Taitem Engineering from June 2021 to January 2022. From May 2016 to May 2021, they served as the Chief of Staff at the City of Ithaca. Before that, they were a Senior Engineer at Taitem Engineering from May 2001 to May 2016. Additionally, they held the position of City Councilman at the City of Ithaca from January 2002 to December 2011, where they also served as Acting Mayor for five years. Dan has previous experience as a Programmer Analyst at The CBORD Group, Inc. from June 1999 to December 2000 and as an Applications Integrator at Cole Valley Software from June 1998 to June 1999. Dan started their professional career as an Intern at SAIC from 1988 to 1991.

Dan Cogan has a strong education background in engineering. Dan completed their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley from 1986 to 1990. Dan then pursued further studies at Cornell University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from 1992 to 1995.

In addition to their formal education, Dan Cogan also holds a certification as a NY Licensed Professional Engineer, which they obtained from the NYS Department of Education in February 2011.
