Alex Fridman

Alex Fridman is a highly experienced financial professional currently serving as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Dimensional Fund Advisors since April 2013. Prior to this role, Alex held the position of Vice President at BlackRock from December 2007 to March 2013 and was an Assistant Vice President at Trust Company of the West from August 2005 to November 2007. Alex began a career in academia as a Mathematics Instructor at Los Angeles City College from August 2004 to August 2005 and worked as a Network Administrator for the Los Angeles Philharmonic between March 1997 and August 2001. Academically, Alex has an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge, a PhD in Applied Math from Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University, an MA in Mathematical Finance and an MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Southern California, as well as a BS in Applied Mathematics from UCLA.
