Catherine L. Newell

Catherine L. Newell is the General Counsel at Dimensional Fund Advisors. Catherine joined the company in January 2020 and has been in their current role for just over a year. Prior to that, they were a Senior Associate in the Financial Institutions Group from July 2018 to December 2019. Before that, they were an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group from June 2016 to June 2018.

Catherine began their career at Dimensional Fund Advisors as a Campus Recruiter from August 2015 to June 2016. Catherine then took on the role of Campus Recruiting Coordinator from June 2016 to June 2018. In May 2014, they interned in Human Resources Talent Management, and in May 2012, they interned in Human Resources Recruitment.

Catherine L. Newell graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor of Science Business and Economics from Lehigh University - College of Business and Economics. Catherine then received certification from Boston University in Financial Planning Certificate, CFA Institute in Investment Foundations Certificate, NASAA in Series 66, and FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in Series 7.
