James Newman

James Newman has over 20 years of experience in investment operations and asset management. James is currently serving as the Head of Investment Operations, EMEA at Dimensional Fund Advisors since March 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Investment Operations, UK at Stonehage Fleming from 2016 to February 2020. James also served as the Head of Operations at Woodford Investment Management from 2014 to 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked at EGERTON CAPITAL (UK) LLP as the Head of Fund Operations and Trade Support Manager from 2002 to 2014. James started their career as an Account Controller at Pictet Asset Management in 2000 and worked as a Portfolio Administrator at Genesis Investment Management LLP from 1997 to 2000.

James Newman earned a BA (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Leicester between 1992 and 1996. James also completed a Securities Institute Diploma specializing in Global Operations Management, Derivatives, and Regulation from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, James obtained a Management Accounting Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 2013 to 2015. James attended Enfield Grammar School from 1985 to 1992.
