Richard Leaman

Richard Leaman serves as the Diocesan Secretary and CEO for the Diocese of Bristol since October 2021. Previously, Richard was the Chief Executive Officer of the Tall Ships Youth Trust from August 2017 to August 2021, where personal leadership was pivotal in turning around a financially troubled organization, achieving operating profits for the first time in 17 years. Richard also held the role of Chief Executive Officer at The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association from March 2010 to December 2016, successfully executing a strategy that transformed the charity's services and significantly increased its reach. Richard's military background includes high-ranking advisory and leadership roles within NATO and the Royal Navy, providing strategic insights and commanding international teams.
