Dcn Scott Maentz has extensive experience in both religious and technology sectors. Since August 2012, Maentz has served as a Permanent Deacon and Technology Consultant for the Diocese of Knoxville, focusing on web development and communication services such as podcasting and videography. Previously, Maentz was the Director of Communications for the Handmaids of the Precious Blood from April 2015 to May 2020, overseeing communications and social media for a cloistered religious community. Additionally, Maentz owned Boogey Lights, a company specializing in motorcycle LED accent lighting, from June 2001 to March 2014. In earlier roles, Maentz held various senior positions in product marketing and supplier relations across multiple technology companies, including Tech Data and AmeriData. Maentz earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Westfield State University between 1977 and 1981.
