Joe Mahoney

CEO Of Catholic Social Services Of Scranton And Diocesan Secretary For Catholic Human Services at Diocese of Scranton

Joe Mahoney has extensive work experience in various leadership and management roles. Joe currently serves as the CEO of Catholic Social Services of Scranton and Diocesan Secretary for Catholic Human Services at the Diocese of Scranton. Prior to this, they worked as the COO of the Pueblo Housing Authority, where they provided steady management and support during a crisis while working to increase low-income housing in the community. Joe also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Pueblo Community College, teaching classes on Leadership and Community Leadership. Joe was the Executive Director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Pueblo, where they successfully grew the agency's budget. Joe has extensive disaster response experience, having worked as a Disaster Response Program Officer at Catholic Charities USA and as the Program Director of Katrina Aid Today at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. Before their nonprofit work, they also held various roles at Lucent, Octel, and Teledynamics.

Joe Mahoney attended Regis University from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Nonprofit Management degree. Before that, from 1980 to 1984, they studied at the University of Rochester and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and History.
