Shaun Mooney

Shaun Mooney has a diverse work experience in finance and auditing. Shaun started their career as a Trainee Accountant at John Yelland & Company Chartered Accountants in 2007 and worked there until 2012. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants in various roles, including Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior, Qualified Audit Senior, Qualified Audit Executive, and Audit Manager. In 2020, they joined Crowe UK as an Audit Manager and worked there until 2021 when they returned to Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants as a Senior Audit Manager. Shaun then transitioned to the role of Director of Finance at the Diocese of Worcester in 2023.

Shaun Mooney began their education at Nunnery Wood High School, where they achieved 10 GCSEs. Shaun then attended Worcester Sixth Form College, where they obtained 3 A levels and 1 AS Level. Following this, Shaun went on to study at the University of Worcester, earning a 2:2 BA Hons in Business Management.

Shaun continued their education by completing various modules towards their Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. Shaun completed 3 foundation modules at Birmingham City University in 2007, followed by 6 advanced modules at Heart of Worcestershire College from 2008 to 2010. Shaun then completed 2 professional modules at Birmingham City University from 2010 to 2011 and 3 more professional modules at Kaplan - Birmingham from 2012 to 2013.

In 2016, Shaun pursued a Diploma in Charity Accounting at ICAEW. Shaun later obtained the Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) from ICAEW in November 2016. Shaun also obtained the FCCA certification from ACCA in November 2018, and their BA (Hons) degree from the University of Worcester in July 2006.
