Brenda Smith

Before DKS, Brenda worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) as Research Staff Member. Brenda brings over a decade of hands-on experience in synthetic chemistry, radiochemistry, applied science, chemical processing, energy converter systems, and designing novel radio- and photo-luminescent materials, to name a few.

She was involved in strategic planning and participated in several internal and external proposal review panels. During her time at ORNL, she volunteered in several women's organizations, including being a co-founder for one, and served as a mentor for a community outreach girls' STEM program.
