Marc Basson has over a decade of experience in the insurance and banking sectors, currently serving as Head of Profitability at Direct Line Group since December 2012, where previous roles included Actuarial Manager and various principal analyst positions in pricing and reserving. Prior to his tenure at Direct Line Group, Marc worked as an Actuarial Analyst at RBS Insurance and held the position of Risk Analyst at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Additionally, Marc gained experience as a Strategic Insight Analyst at African Bank. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of the Witwatersrand and a BA Hons from Rand Afrikaans University.
